This 29 cm adapter connects a 4-pin PWM fan to a DC 5.5 × 2.1 mm barrel jack. It lets you run a chassis or CPU cooler fan from an external 12 V, 9 V or 5 V power supply instead of the motherboard header. The cable uses 24 AWG oxygen-free copper conductors with PVC insulation rated to 80 °C and 300 V.

Suits builders powering fans from wall adapters
