This adapter cable converts a digital DVI-D 24+1 signal to an analogue VGA 15-pin output for monitors that lack a DVI input. Integrated conversion chip and fixed cable length

A built-in high-performance chip performs the signal conversion directly inside the cable assembly, eliminating the need for a separate powered converter box. Both connectors are moulded for strain relief, and the 25-pin DVI-D plug mates securely with a 24+1 socket while the 15-pin VGA end screws down to the monitor. No external power adapter is needed.

Limited to 1080p analogue output

The adapter supports resolutions up to 1080p, which matches the typical maximum of VGA-connected displays. Because VGA is an analogue interface, image quality depends on cable quality and display circuitry; the chip aims for lossless conversion but cannot overcome the inherent bandwidth limits of the VGA standard. Audio is not carried over this connection, so a separate audio path is required. The device is one-directional from DVI-D source to VGA display and will not work in reverse.
