Converts a single 4-pin power connector into three SATA ports using 22 cm of 1007 22AWG tinned-copper cable rated to 80 °C
This Ruth's sister adapter converts a single large 4-pin Molex connector from the power supply into three SATA power sockets. It lets builders attach up to three SATA drives or peripherals without needing native SATA leads from the PSU. The 22 cm length keeps cable routing tidy inside compact cases. No active electronics are involved; the splitter simply distributes the existing 12 V and 5 V rails.
The cable uses 1007 22 AWG tinned-copper conductors (17 strands of 0.12 mm) with PVC insulation rated to 80 °C and an outer diameter of 1.6 mm. One end carries a large 4-pin female Molex plug; the three branches terminate in standard SATA female power connectors. Total weight is 19 grams, adding negligible mass to the harness. Ensure the host PSU Molex circuit can supply the combined current draw of all attached drives.
Three SATA devices share the amperage available on the single Molex source, so high-spin-up mechanical drives may exceed the connector's rating if started simultaneously. The 22 cm reach suits drives mounted near each other; wider spacing will require additional extension cables. Builders needing more than three SATA power drops or separate 12 V rails should look for a PSU with native SATA outputs or a multi-rail splitter.

The cable splits a single large 4-pin power supply connector into three SATA female ports, so up to three SATA drives can be powered from one Molex output.
The 17-strand tinned copper conductors (0.12 mm each) are rated to 80 °C, so the cable stays within its thermal limit under normal sustained loads.
The splitter expects a standard large 4-pin Molex (D-shaped) male connector from the power supply to feed the three SATA female ends.
