Converts M.2 NGFF Key A+E or Key A wireless modules to Mini PCIe with a 2 mm height increase
This adapter converts an M.2 NGFF Key A+E or Key A wireless module to a Mini PCI Express slot. It is built for technicians or owners upgrading Wi-Fi cards in laptops or small-form-factor systems that only offer a Mini PCIe connector. The board adds roughly 2 mm of height over the original Mini PCIe module, so internal clearance must be verified before installation.
Buyers with a free Mini PCIe slot who want to install a modern M.2 Key A or A+E Wi-Fi module can use this riser. It is not for Key B, Key M, or storage modules, nor for systems lacking the extra vertical space the adapter requires. OEM implementations with non-standard pin-outs may also prevent operation, so confirming the exact module pin-out beforehand is essential.
The adapter only accepts M.2 NGFF wireless modules keyed for A or A+E interfaces. Modules with different key notches will not fit electrically or mechanically. No certification is claimed, and the supplier notes that some OEM wireless cards use custom pin definitions that can cause incompatibility.
