Connects M.2 NVMe and SATA drives to a PCIe 3.0 x4 slot with dual 12 V and 3.3 V power
The HOT-JEYI SK16 adapter lets a desktop builder connect an M.2 NVMe, NGFF or mSATA solid-state drive to a PCIe 3.0 x4 slot. It is intended for systems that lack a native M.2 connector but have a free expansion lane.
The card accepts three drive form factors on a single PCB, drawing both 12 V and 3.3 V from the slot through a large tantalum capacitor. Bandwidth tops out at the PCIe 3.0 x4 ceiling, so newer drives that need more lanes or a newer protocol will be bottlenecked here.
The interface caps throughput at the PCIe 3.0 x4 maximum, so sequential speeds cannot exceed that generation's limit. Drives requiring PCIe 4.0 or 5.0 will run at reduced performance, and the board provides no active cooling for sustained heavy workloads.

No published specifications for this item yet.
Yes, the SK16 is built for a PCI Express 3.0 x4 connection and will operate at that speed.
The drive should appear in BIOS or the OS disk manager without errors, and the large-capacity tantalum capacitor helps maintain stable dual-voltage power.
The box contains the riser card, a half-height baffle, two SATA cables and a screwdriver with matching screws; no extra cables are required.
