Ruth's sister

Ruth's sister USB 3.0 to 2.0 20-Pin to 9-Pin Adapter ND998 10cm internal power cable

SKU CH-J14V-VF5S5

Connects a chassis USB 3.0 20-pin header to a motherboard USB 2.0 9-pin header with a 10cm cable

  • Connects chassis USB 3.0 20-pin header to motherboard USB 2.0 9-pin header
  • 10 cm length fits tight internal routing without excess cable
  • Operates at USB 2.0 speeds despite 3.0 connector — no speed increase
  • Black colour matches standard internal cable aesthetics
  • Enables older motherboards to use front-panel USB 3.0 ports

Internal USB adapter for legacy boards

This adapter bridges a motherboard USB 2.0 9-pin header to a chassis USB 3.0 20-pin connector. It lets older boards without native USB 3.0 headers use front-panel ports that only have a 20-pin plug. The link runs at USB 2.0 speeds because the host header is 2.0.

10 cm cable with fixed 2.0 throughput

The 10 cm length reaches between typical header and front-panel locations in compact builds. Bandwidth is limited to the USB 2.0 host interface, so connected devices operate at 2.0 rates even though the chassis plug is 3.0. No active conversion or speed boost occurs.

Simple header conversion for tight spaces

One male 20-pin end plugs into the case front-panel cable; the female 9-pin end attaches to the motherboard USB 2.0 header. No extra power or drivers are required. The short cable keeps routing tidy in small cases where a longer lead would add clutter.
