Two 10 ft Cat 6 UTP patch cables rated to 550 MHz with 24 AWG conductors for 10/100/1000 Mbps networks
This two-pack supplies two 10 ft Cat 6 Ethernet cables rated for 550 MHz bandwidth. Each cable uses 24 AWG unshielded twisted-pair conductors with a PVC jacket and follows the TIA/EIA 568B.2 wiring standard. They support 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit speeds for wired network connections.
The cables suit anyone linking routers, switches, PCs, printers or NAS devices where a reliable 1 Gbps link is needed. They are not intended for runs that exceed the 10 ft length provided, for outdoor or in-wall installations requiring plenum or direct-burial ratings, or for shielded environments that demand FTP or STP construction.
At 10 ft the cables comfortably handle full Gigabit throughput with margin above the 550 MHz specification. Performance will degrade if the cables are extended beyond their rated length, bent sharply past the jacket’s flexibility, or used in electrically noisy settings where unshielded twisted pair offers no protection.

Your router or switch needs Gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000) to use the full 1000 Mbps capability of these Cat 6 cables.
Yes, the cables are backward compatible; they will connect to Cat 5e jacks and 10/100 equipment, but the link will run at the lower 100 Mbps speed of the older gear.
Check the link lights on both ends show a 1 Gbps connection and run a speed test that sustains near 1000 Mbps throughput.
