Questions about this item

How do I set up the HW-Q990F soundbar, subwoofer and rear speakers, and what step do people often miss?

Connect the soundbar to the TV using the HDMI eARC port, plug the subwoofer and rear speakers into mains power for automatic wireless pairing, then run SpaceFit Sound Pro Plus calibration — many skip this room-tuning step.

What maintenance will the HW-Q990F system need over time?

Dust the soundbar, subwoofer and rear speaker grilles regularly; clean the TV screen with the included 6.8 oz liquid cleaner and polar fleece cloth; check for firmware updates via the SmartThings app to keep Dolby Atmos and DTS:X performance current.

What limit appears first during a long movie or gaming session at high volume?

The subwoofer’s Dynamic Bass Control will engage to prevent distortion, and the soundbar’s thermal protection may briefly reduce output if internal temperatures rise during sustained 11.1.4 channel playback.
