4MP Network Dome Camera

The Samsung QND-7012R is a 4 megapixel network dome camera built for indoor or outdoor surveillance. It captures colour video at 2560 x 1440 resolution and 30 frames per second. The fixed 2.80 mm lens provides a wide field of view. Infrared illumination reaches 65.62 ft for night-time monitoring.

H.265 and H.264 Compression

The camera supports H.265, H.265M, H.265H, H.264, H.264M and H.264H codecs alongside Motion JPEG. These compression options reduce bandwidth and storage requirements compared with uncompressed streams. Multiple codec choices allow integration with a variety of network video recorders and video management platforms.

Mounting and Power Checks

Verify that the chosen mounting surface suits one of the supported methods: wall, hanging, ceiling, parapet, pole, corner or box mount. Confirm that the network infrastructure provides Power over Ethernet or that a separate 12 V DC supply is available. Ensure the recorder or VMS accepts the listed compression formats and 2560 x 1440 resolution.

Questions about this item

Will the IR LEDs at 65.62 ft range need replacement after extended night use?

The built-in infrared illuminators are rated for long-life operation; no user-serviceable LED module is specified, so the camera is typically replaced as a unit when IR output degrades.

What recording limit appears first when the camera streams 2560 x 1440 at 30 fps continuously?

The fixed 2.80 mm lens and 4 MP sensor deliver a constant 30 fps stream; the bottleneck will be your NVR or storage bandwidth, not the camera itself.

How much power does the dome draw when running all day with IR active?

The camera operates on PoE; exact wattage is not in the supplied data, so consult the installer or the Hanwha Techwin datasheet for the precise figure.
