6MP outdoor dome camera

The Samsung Wisenet PNM-C12083RVD is a 6 megapixel network camera built for exterior surveillance. It delivers colour video at 3328 x 1872 resolution in a white vandal-resistant dome rated IK10 and IP66. TAA compliance makes it suitable for government and institutional projects.

Varifocal lens and codec headroom

A 3.54 mm to 6.69 mm varifocal lens provides 1.9x optical zoom for flexible field-of-view adjustment. The sensor captures at 15 fps and supports H.265, H.264 and MJPEG plus their B, H and M profiles for efficient bandwidth use. Infrared illumination reaches 82.02 ft for night monitoring. Buyers needing higher frame rates or motorised zoom beyond 1.9x should consider other models.

Thermals noise and power draw

The IP66 housing handles rain, dust and temperature extremes without active cooling fans, so acoustic output is negligible. PoE power draw scales with IR usage and codec load but stays within standard class limits. Multiple mount options including conduit, pole and pendant simplify cable routing and heat dissipation. No internal fan means no bearing wear or airflow noise over time.

Questions about this item

Will the PNM-C12083RVD integrate with an older NVR that only accepts H.264 streams?

Yes, the camera supports H.264, H.264B, H.264H and H.264M alongside H.265 variants, so it can stream to legacy recorders using H.264.

How can I verify the 6 MP sensor is delivering its full 3328 x 1872 resolution after installation?

Log into the camera’s web interface or NVR and confirm the live view shows 3328 x 1872 at 15 fps; the on-screen information overlay also reports the active codec and frame size.

Does the box include mounting hardware for a pole or corner, or must I order brackets separately?

The camera supports Conduit, Gang Box, Parapet, Corner, Pole, Wall, Gooseneck and Pendant mounts, but the specific brackets are not included and must be purchased separately.
