WD_BLACK D30 Game Drive 500GB

The WD_BLACK D30 is a 500GB external SSD built for console and PC gamers who want faster load times. It connects through USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C and delivers sequential read speeds up to 900MB/s. A detachable stand lets the drive sit upright beside a console or PC.

Console owners and PC players needing quick extra

The drive works with PlayStation 5 for PS4 titles, Xbox Series X|S for Xbox One games and archiving Series X|S titles, plus PS4 Pro, PS4 4.50+, Xbox One, Windows 10, 8.1 and macOS 10.11+. Gamers who need to run current-generation titles directly from the external drive cannot do so on PS5, and users wanting more than 50 games should look at larger capacities.

500GB capacity with up to 900MB/s read speed

The single figure that decides fit is the 500GB capacity paired with a 900MB/s maximum transfer rate. That combination determines how many titles fit and how quickly they load, so buyers match those numbers against their library size and performance expectations.
