Portable HD Radio with Stereo Sound

The Sangean HDR-16 is a portable radio receiving AM, FM and HD Radio broadcasts with RDS data. It delivers stereo audio through two built-in 2.5-inch speakers rated at 1 watt per channel. The unit includes a backlit LCD showing station information and clock functions, plus presets for five AM and five FM stations.

Listeners Wanting Digital Radio on the Move

This suits anyone who wants clear digital reception while travelling or working outdoors, with the option to connect headphones or an external speaker via line-out. Buyers who need Bluetooth streaming, Wi-Fi connectivity or internet radio stations should look at something else, as the HDR-16 relies solely on broadcast signals and wired inputs.

Powered by Four C-Cell Batteries or Mains Adapter

The radio runs on four 1.5 V C cells for portable use or from the supplied DC 7.5 V adaptor for mains operation. This single power requirement decides whether the unit fits your intended location, since no internal rechargeable pack or USB charging option is provided.
