Ready for travel and bedside use

The Sangean PR-D5 White is a compact AM/FM portable radio with a 3.2 inch LCD backlight display and a 200mm ferrite antenna bar for strong AM reception. It delivers stereo sound through two 2.5 inch built-in speakers rated at 1W + 1W and includes a selectable stereo/mono switch. Ten memory presets store five FM and five AM stations for quick access.

Check power options and audio needs

This unit runs on six 1.5V UM-2 batteries or a 9V DC 500 mA external supply, so verify you have the correct cells or adapter before ordering. A 3.5mm headphone jack and auxiliary input are provided for private listening or external sources, but there is no Bluetooth or wireless streaming capability. The clock synchronises via FM RBDS CT signals, so ensure local stations broadcast that data for automatic time setting.

Lightweight cabinet with practical everyday features

Weighing 2.23 lbs and measuring 10.2 x 5.4 x 2.5 inches, the white plastic enclosure fits easily on a shelf or in a bag. The segmented LCD with backlight remains readable in low light, and a battery power indicator warns when cells need replacing. Dual alarms wake you by radio or Humane Wake System buzzer, while a sleep timer turns the radio off after a set period.
