Converts a 4-pin Molex power connector to a 15-pin SATA power plug for SATA drives
This 15-pin SATA to 4-pin Molex adapter lets you power a SATA drive from a legacy power supply connector. It suits builders adding a SATA SSD or hard drive to a system that only offers Molex power leads. The right-angle plug eases routing in tight drive bays or behind motherboard trays.
Push the Molex female end onto a power-supply lead and the SATA male end onto the drive until both seat firmly. The only common issue is reversing the Molex connector; the keyed shape prevents damage but the drive will not spin up until it is flipped. No tools or drivers are required.
Verify that your power supply has an unused 4-pin Molex lead before ordering. If the unit only provides SATA power plugs, this adapter is unnecessary and will not fit. Also confirm the drive uses a standard 15-pin SATA power port rather than a proprietary connector.

The drive should spin up and appear in the system BIOS or operating system once the 15-pin SATA connector is seated and the Molex plug is powered.
The cable has a 4-pin Molex female connector on one end and a 15-pin SATA power plug on the other; a free Molex lead from the power supply is required.
This adapter converts a standard 4-pin Molex connector to the 15-pin SATA power interface used by SATA and SATA II drives.
