SATAGear R-SS-01MSR SATA III Cable

This internal cable links a Serial ATA drive or optical device to a motherboard or controller port. The four-inch length suits tight spaces where longer cables would bunch behind the drive cage. Builders fitting multiple drives in compact cases will appreciate the short reach.

Straight-to-right-angle connectors simplify routing

One end plugs straight into the board while the right-angle end sits flush against the drive, reducing strain on the port. The narrow, shielded jacket eases passage through crowded grommets and cuts electromagnetic interference. Dual 7-pin female connectors lock securely without extra clips.

Shielded construction meets SATA 1.0 specification

The cable supports data rates up to 6.0 Gbps and maintains signal integrity across the link. Its slim profile leaves more room for airflow around stacked drives and power leads. Installers gain a tidy, reliable connection that stays put during transport or vibration.

Questions about this item

Will the 7-pin female connectors need replacing over time?

The 7-pin female connectors are solid metal contacts; they do not wear out in normal desktop or server use.

What limits sustained throughput on this cable?

The SATA 1.0 specification caps the link at 6.0 Gbps, so the interface itself is the ceiling.

Does the narrow shielded design run hotter or draw more power during all-day operation?

The passive shielded cable carries only signal current, so it adds no measurable heat or power draw.
