Connects SATA drives to a controller at up to 6.0 Gbps with a straight-to-right-angle layout
This 40in internal cable connects a Serial ATA hard drive, optical drive or other SATA device to a motherboard or controller. The straight-to-right-angle layout lets the connector sit flat against the drive, which is useful in tight drive bays or behind stacked storage. Both ends carry 7-pin female connectors compliant with the SATA 1.0 specification.
The cable is rated for data transfer rates up to 6.0 Gbps, so sequential reads and writes from modern SSDs or mechanical arrays run at the interface limit rather than being throttled by the link. Shielding protects the differential pairs from EMI and RFI, keeping error rates low during long backup or raid-rebuild sessions.
A slim, shielded jacket reduces bulk compared with legacy ribbon cables, leaving more room for air to move between drives and around the motherboard. The right-angle plug points downward, guiding the wire along the chassis floor instead of looping into the CPU cooler zone. Dual 7-pin female ends lock securely, so vibration from multiple spinning disks will not unseat the connection.

The cable is a passive component with no moving parts or active electronics, so it produces no heat or noise regardless of how long it runs.
You need a Serial ATA controller or motherboard header with a standard 7-pin SATA port, plus a Serial ATA device such as a hard drive or optical drive that also has a 7-pin port.
Yes, the cable meets the Serial ATA 1.0 standard and will function with older controllers at their native speed.
