Green vinyl electrical tape rated to 600 V and 220 °F, 3/4 in. wide by 66 ft long with 17 lb./in. tensile strength
Scotch Series 35 vinyl electrical tape is manufactured for professional electricians and maintenance crews who need reliable insulation up to 600 volts. The green colour coding helps identify circuits quickly in panels and junction boxes. It meets UL 510 and CSA requirements and complies with ASTM D1000 for consistent performance.
The tape is rated for continuous operation up to 220 degrees Fahrenheit and maintains its dielectric strength at the full 600-volt rating. Rubber-based adhesive delivers 20 ounces per inch of adhesion while the 7.00-mil vinyl backing provides 17 pounds per inch tensile strength. These figures ensure the wrap stays secure under normal load and temperature cycles.
A single continuous roll supplies 66 feet of material, reducing the frequency of roll changes on the job site. UL listing and CSA certification mean the product satisfies common inspection criteria without additional documentation. RoHS 2002/95/EC compliance confirms restricted substances are absent, simplifying procurement for regulated projects.

Clean the wire, stretch the tape as you wrap so the 7.00 mil thickness conforms, overlap each turn by half the width, and finish with a firm press — the step most people skip is stretching the tape to activate the rubber adhesive.
Inspect the green vinyl for cracking or adhesive bleed after prolonged exposure to heat near the 220 °F rating; replace the tape if the 17 lb./in. tensile strength feels reduced or the 20 oz./in. adhesion no longer holds.
The 220 °F maximum performance temperature is the first limit; above it the rubber adhesive softens and the vinyl backing can lose its 600 V insulation rating.
