Vinyl electrical tape rated for 600 V, 17 lb/in tensile strength and 220 °F maximum operating temperature
Scotch Series 35 vinyl electrical tape is a continuous roll designed for general-purpose insulation and splicing tasks. The rubber adhesive bonds to wire jackets and itself, forming a moisture-resistant seal. Electricians and maintenance technicians use it for colour-coded phase identification in panels and junction boxes.
The tape backing measures 7.00 mil thick and carries a 600 V maximum voltage rating, satisfying UL 510 and CSA certification requirements. Tensile strength reaches 17 lb. per inch while adhesive strength holds at 20 oz. per inch. Maximum continuous operating temperature is 220 degrees F.
The red vinyl backing provides immediate visual identification of specific circuits or phases without additional labels. UV resistance is not included, so prolonged outdoor exposure will degrade the material. The 66 ft roll supplies enough length for multiple jobs while remaining compact for tool-pouch storage.

At 7.00 mil the tape is thick enough to build insulation quickly, so fewer wraps reach the 600 volt rating while the rubber adhesive stays flexible in cold weather.
UL 510 certifies the vinyl backing and rubber adhesive for 600 volts maximum, so the tape is approved for building wiring and control circuits up to that voltage.
The 3/4 in. width matches the industry standard roll size, so it slides into common belt pouches, handheld dispensers and toolbox compartments without trimming.
