Electric latch retraction kit enables motorised access control and dogging of mechanical exit devices

  • Pulls pushpad into dogged position when energized
  • Supports momentary or sustained door operation modes
  • Compatible with most mechanical exit devices

Electric Latch Retraction Kit

The SDC LR100FAK is an electric latch retraction kit designed for mechanical exit devices. When energised the motor retracts the latch and pulls the pushpad into the dogged position. This allows momentary or sustained push and pull operation of the door for access control.

Installers Adding Access Control

This kit suits installers who need to add electric access control and dogging to existing mechanical exit hardware. It is not intended for doors that lack a compatible mechanical exit device or for applications requiring a standalone locking mechanism without an exit device.

Single Kit Coverage

The package provides one complete kit for a single exit device installation. It comfortably handles the retraction and dogging function for that device. Additional doors will require separate kits to achieve the same controlled operation.

Questions about this item

What type of exit device must already be installed for the LR100FAK kit to operate?

The kit works with most mechanical exit devices that can be dogged by retracting the latch and pulling the pushpad into the depressed position.

Can the LR100FAK kit be used with an older mechanical exit device that lacks built-in electrification?

Yes, it adds electric access control and dogging to existing mechanical exit devices by retracting the latch when energised.

How can I confirm the LR100FAK kit is functioning correctly after installation?

When energised the motor should retract the latch and hold the pushpad down, allowing the door to be pushed or pulled open without manual unlatching.
