This adapter cable converts a single 6-pin PSU output into two 8-pin (6+2) male connectors for graphics cards. It is built for builders whose power supply lacks enough native 8-pin leads. The pack contains two cables, each measuring 8.86 inches in length.

18 AWG Tinned Copper Conductors

Each cable uses 18 AWG wire with 34 strands of 0.12 mm tinned copper, rated to 80 °C and insulated in PVC with a 2.1 mm outer diameter. The gauge and strand count give enough headroom for typical mid-range GPU loads. Very high-wattage cards drawing sustained peak power may exceed the safe current capacity of a single 6-pin source.

PSU Compatibility Limits

The cable is only compatible with Cooler Master and Thermaltake power supplies that provide a 6-pin PCIe port. It will not work with EVGA, Corsair or Antec modular PSUs due to different pin-outs. It is also designed solely for graphics cards and cannot power motherboard CPU connectors.
