Shenzhen Gosun Technology Co., Ltd Savetek GX-03 8GB Voice Recorder 70h Recording 15h Battery Silver

What it is and who it’s for

The Savetek GX-03 is an 8 GB voice recorder that captures WAV audio at 192 kbps for up to 70 hours of total recording time. It suits anyone who needs a compact, single-purpose device for lectures, meetings or personal memos without relying on a smartphone. The pen-style body includes a built-in USB connector so files transfer directly to a computer without extra cables or drivers. Buyers who need wireless sync, smartphone app control or expandable storage should look elsewhere.

Installing and common pitfalls

Operation is a single switch: slide to ON and the red LED blinks five times to confirm recording has started; slide back to OFF to stop and save the file automatically. Playback requires plugging the unit into a USB port where it appears as a mass-storage device — no software installation is needed. A flashing red LED during recording signals low battery; ignore it and the session may end abruptly. Charging is done over the same USB connection and the light stays solid red once the lithium cell reaches full capacity.

Behaviour under sustained load

A full charge delivers roughly 13 hours of continuous recording, noticeably shorter than the 70-hour storage ceiling, so multi-day sessions demand periodic recharging. The recorder writes WAV files sequentially until the 8 GB memory fills, then stops without overwriting earlier material. Because the device draws power only while recording or charging, idle shelf life is long, but extended daily use will cycle the battery more frequently than occasional use. Heat buildup is negligible in normal indoor environments.
