Sigma 35mm F1.4 Art L-Mount

This lens is a wide-aperture prime designed exclusively for mirrorless cameras using the Leica L mount. It serves professional photographers and videographers who need reliable, high-quality performance in a compact form. The focal length provides a natural perspective suited to street photography and portraiture.

Mirrorless L-mount prime integration

The optic mounts directly on L-mount bodies such as Leica SL, SL2, SL2-S, Panasonic S series and Sigma fp cameras without adapters. Its lightweight construction at 454 grams and compact dimensions reduce the load on a gimbal or tripod head. The 67 mm filter thread accepts standard circular polarisers and ND filters for video work.

Sustained wide-open shooting behaviour

The optical design minimises aberrations and maintains exceptional sharpness across the frame even at the maximum aperture of F1.4. A high-precision stepping motor drives a single focusing element for quiet, precise autofocus during extended video takes. The robust, premium build withstands the rigours of daily professional use without performance degradation.

Questions about this item

Does the 35 mm focal length and F1.4 aperture maintain sharpness across the frame during extended shooting sessions?

The optical design is corrected for minimal aberrations and edge-to-edge sharpness even at F1.4, so image quality remains consistent during prolonged use.

How much heat or noise does the stepping-type focus motor generate when the lens is used continuously for video?

The high-precision stepping motor drives a single focusing element quietly with low power draw, keeping heat and audible noise minimal during long takes.

Which L-mount camera bodies is the 67 mm filter-thread version of this lens fully compatible with?

It works natively with Leica SL, SL2, SL2-S, Panasonic S series and Sigma fp bodies that use the L-mount.
