Versatile zoom for Canon EF

The Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 is a full-frame standard zoom covering a wide-angle to portrait-length range. It suits photographers who need a single bright lens for events, weddings and everyday reportage. The constant f/2.8 aperture supports shallow depth of field and low-light work across the entire zoom range. This bundle adds an 82mm UV filter, tulip hood and cleaning accessories.

Constant f/2.8 aperture

The fixed maximum aperture of f/2.8 is the specification that determines whether this lens matches the exposure and depth-of-field requirements of professional event and portrait work. It delivers consistent brightness from 24mm to 70mm without the variable aperture found on slower zooms. The optical design uses two XR elements, three LD elements and four aspherical elements to control aberrations. eBAND and BBAR coatings reduce flare and ghosting.

Ultrasonic autofocus with vibration compensation

The Ultrasonic Silent Drive motor provides quick, quiet and precise focusing for both stills and video capture. Built-in Vibration Compensation offers up to 5-stop-effective shake reduction for sharper handheld results in difficult lighting. Moisture-resistant construction adds durability for outdoor use. The lens accepts 82mm filters and includes a protective UV filter in the bundle.
