What the HDHomeRun Flex Quatro is

The SiliconDust HDHomeRun Flex Quatro is a network-attached TV tuner that receives free-to-air ATSC 1.0 broadcasts. It connects to a home router and streams live television to phones, tablets, computers, streaming boxes and smart TVs across the local network.

Four ATSC 1.0 tuners decide capacity

The unit contains four independent ATSC 1.0 tuners, allowing up to four different channels to be watched or recorded at the same time. This tuner count is the single specification that determines whether the device can serve the number of simultaneous viewers or recordings a household needs.

Suits cord-cutters wanting whole-home live TV

Households that want to distribute antenna signals to every screen over Wi-Fi or Ethernet will find the Flex Quatro fits. It also adds optional USB hard-drive DVR with a paid guide. Buyers who need ATSC 3.0 reception, CableCARD decryption or more than four concurrent streams should look at a different tuner.
