1 metre Cat6 cable with 304 switch

This one metre Cat6 patch cable has an integrated 304 on/off switch so the link can be broken without unplugging the RJ45 connectors. The switch protects the ports from wear caused by repeated insertion and removal. A pure copper core and flame-retardant PVC jacket provide stable gigabit transmission up to 250 MHz bandwidth.

Suits users who want a physical disconnect

The cable works with any device that has an RJ45 jack such as PCs, laptops, servers, modems, printers, routers, switches, smart TVs and media players. It is backward compatible with Cat5 and Cat5e installations. Buyers who need multi-gigabit throughput or longer runs should look at other options.

Integrated 304 on/off switch

The defining feature is the built-in 304 switch that lets you cut the connection instantly while the cable stays plugged in. This avoids physical stress on the RJ45 ports and makes network isolation simple for testing, security or power-saving scenarios.

Questions about this item

Will the 304 switch let me keep my older Cat5e patch panel connected without unplugging it?

Yes, the cable is backward compatible with Class 5 and 5e cables so the switch can break the link while the panel stays plugged in.

How can I confirm the 250 MHz bandwidth is active after I plug it in?

Check the link speed on your router or PC — it should negotiate at 1 Gbps, which is the rated transmission rate for this Cat6 cable.

Does the 1 m black PVC cable come with any extra couplers or mounting clips?

The package includes only the Cat6 Ethernet cable with the integrated 304 on/off switch.
