Interior folders for letter-size hanging files

These Smead 10283 file folders are sized to sit inside standard letter hanging folders without covering the vinyl index tabs. The purple 11-pt stock folders ship in a 100-count box and are intended for offices that need to keep loose documents organized when pulled from the file drawer.

Check tab positions and expansion needs

Verify that your existing hanging folders accept interior folders with a 1/2-inch high tab that stays hidden when the folder is returned. Confirm the 3/4-inch scored expansion provides enough capacity for your typical document volumes and that the 1/3-cut top tab layout matches your preferred indexing style.

Single-ply tab and rounded corners

The single-ply tab eliminates interference with hanging-folder tabs while the rounded top corners on both front and back panels reduce snagging during frequent handling. The undercut front panel allows easier label visibility when multiple interior folders share one hanging folder.

Questions about this item

What does the 11-point stock mean for everyday handling in a busy office?

The 11-point stock gives a sturdy single-ply feel that resists tearing while staying thin enough to stack neatly inside hanging files.
