Waterproof poly file folders

Smead 10504 file folders are made from heavy-duty polypropylene that resists tearing and water damage. Each box contains 24 letter-size folders in yellow. The material is acid-free and PVC-free for long-term document preservation. They suit offices, schools, and homes needing durable filing.

Sustained filing performance

The polypropylene construction withstands daily handling without ripping or degrading. Moisture resistance protects contents from spills and humidity over time. Acid-free composition prevents paper yellowing or deterioration during extended storage. Yellow colour aids quick visual identification in busy filing systems.

Simple setup and common issues

Folders arrive flat and ready to label with standard tabs or handwritten titles. The 1/3 cut top tab fits most letter-size hanging rails and filing cabinets. No assembly or tools are required. Users should avoid overstuffing individual folders to maintain tab alignment and prevent edge wear.

Questions about this item

Do the 10504 folders generate any noise, heat or draw power during all-day use?

The 10504 folders are passive polypropylene file folders with no moving parts, electronics or power requirements, so they produce no noise, heat or power draw.

What existing filing equipment must I already own for these 10504 folders to work?

The 10504 folders are letter-size with a 1/3-cut top tab, so they require a standard letter-size drawer, shelf or hanging frame that accepts top-tab folders.

Will the yellow 10504 folders damage older paper records stored alongside them?

The 10504 folders are acid-free and PVC-free, so they will not degrade or transfer chemicals to older paper records kept in the same drawer.
