Letter-size file folders

Smead 12534 folders are sold in a 100-count box and sized for letter documents. The 11-pt stock gives each folder a rigid feel that resists bending in a drawer. Orange colour allows quick visual sorting by project or department. Reinforced two-ply tabs add strength at the point of most wear.

Sustained filing use

The 11-pt material holds its shape when drawers are packed tightly and folders are pulled daily. Reinforced tabs resist tearing even after repeated labelling and repositioning. Colour coding stays vivid without fading under office lighting. The box quantity supports high-volume filing systems without frequent reorders.

11-pt stock weight

This single specification determines whether the folders withstand heavy daily handling or sag under a full drawer. Thinner stock creases faster and requires earlier replacement. Buyers who need lighter folders for occasional archive storage should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will the 11-pt stock folders warp or stick together when stored in a warm cabinet all day?

The 11-pt stock is designed to stay flat under normal office temperatures; keeping the box away from direct heat sources prevents any warping.

Do I need any special hangers or rails to use these 1/3-cut tab folders in my existing letter-size drawer?

Standard letter-size hanging rails or drawer frames accept the 1/3-cut tabs directly; no extra hardware is required.

Can I mix these orange 12534 folders with older manila folders in the same drawer without the tabs catching?

The reinforced 1/3-cut tabs align with standard letter-size positions, so they slide alongside older folders without snagging.
