Essential Office Filing Solution

Smead 12843 file folders provide a reliable system for organizing letter-size documents in any professional or home office. Each box contains 100 single-ply folders manufactured from 11 pt stock for everyday durability. The 1/3 cut top tab design ensures clear label visibility inside standard filing cabinets and drawers.

Ideal for High-Volume Categorisation

These white folders suit administrators, teachers, and small-business owners who need economical supplies for colour-coded filing systems. The scored 3/4 inch expansion accommodates growing file thicknesses without tearing. Buyers requiring heavyweight reinforced tabs, pressboard construction, or hanging-folder rails should consider alternative products designed for frequent retrieval.

11 pt Stock Weight Determines Durability

The 11 point paper thickness is the critical specification that defines folder lifespan and load capacity. It supports routine archival storage while remaining cost-effective for bulk purchasing. Verify that this weight matches your handling frequency before ordering the 100-count box.

Questions about this item

Will the 11 pt stock fit in a standard letter-size drawer?

Yes, the folders are cut to letter dimensions and the 11 pt stock matches typical drawer clearances.

How do I label the 1/3-cut top tab so the text stays aligned?

Use the pre-scored third as a guide; write or apply a label within that section so tabs line up when folders sit side by side.

When should I replace folders from the 100-count box?

Replace a folder when the top tab tears, the scored expansion crease splits, or the single-ply body shows wear from frequent handling.
