2-Inch Expansion File Folders

Smead model 13234 folders provide 2-inch expansion capacity for bulky letter-size documents. The 25-pt pressboard construction resists wear during frequent handling. Each box contains 25 folders made with 60% recycled content from certified managed forests. The 1/3 top tab design uses assorted position tabs for flexible labelling.

Compatibility Check Before Ordering

Verify that your filing system accepts letter-size folders measuring 8 1/2 by 11 inches. Confirm the 2-inch expansion depth fits your drawer or shelf clearance. The pressboard material suits heavy daily use but is not waterproof. Buyers who need legal-size folders or smaller tab cuts should look elsewhere.

Upgrade From Standard Folders

These folders replace single-ply manila folders that tear under heavy loads. The reinforced accordion-pleat gusset holds up to 2 inches of paperwork without splitting. The jump is worth it when files grow thick enough to burst standard folders or when recycled content is a purchasing requirement.
