Fastener folders for document organisation

Smead 14580 folders use two K-style fasteners to hold papers securely and keep them in order. Each fastener provides strength for large amounts of paper. The 11 point manila stock is scored for expansion. Double-strength tabs are 1/2" high with a 2/5 cut right of centre.

Suited for subdivided filing, not loose storage

These folders suit offices that need separate filing surfaces within one folder. They are not for buyers who want loose-leaf storage without fasteners. They are not for users who need a different tab cut or a different paper capacity.

Two fasteners per folder

The defining specification is the pair of 2" prong K-style fasteners on each folder. This feature creates the separate filing surfaces that determine whether the product matches the filing system.

Questions about this item

What comes inside the box of Smead 14580 folders and do I need to buy fasteners separately?

The box contains 50 manila file folders with two 2" prong K-style fasteners already installed in each folder, so no separate fastener purchase is required.

How do I decide between the different tab cuts or fastener counts for this model?

This specific model 14580 is supplied only with a 2/5 cut right-of-center top tab and two fasteners per folder; there are no alternative tab cuts or fastener counts to choose within this SKU.

What does the 11 point manila stock mean for everyday filing use?

The 11 point manila stock gives each folder a sturdy, medium-weight feel that resists tearing, and the scored 3/4" expansion allows the folder to bulk up without splitting.
