25-Box Letter Fastener Folders

These Smead fastener folders come in a 25-count box sized for letter documents. Gray and green pressboard covers use 100 percent total recycled content with 30 percent post-consumer material. Two 2-inch fasteners secure papers inside each folder. Mixed tab positions simplify labeling and retrieval.

Reinforced Gusset Withstands Daily Filing

The gusset is reinforced with tear-resistant material so the folder holds its shape through repeated opening and closing. Pressboard construction provides a stable writing surface when the folder rests on a desk. Expansion reaches one inch to accommodate thick project files without splitting.

One-Inch Expansion Decides Capacity

The single specification that determines fit is the one-inch expansion limit. Folders that need to hold thicker stacks will exceed this allowance. Buyers who need more storage per folder should look for a wider expansion rating.

Questions about this item

Does the 25 pt. pressboard construction and 1" expansion hold up to daily handling without warping or overheating?

The folders are made from heavy-duty 25 pt. pressboard with a gusset reinforced by tear-resistant material, providing a stable writing surface and durability for frequent daily use.

What existing filing equipment is required to use these Smead 15003 folders?

They are designed for standard letter-size filing cabinets or shelves and use 1/3-cut tabs in mixed positions, so no special hardware is needed beyond a typical letter-size file drawer.

Will the two 2" fasteners and dove-gray spine tape work with older manila folders already in my drawer?

Yes, each folder includes two 2" fasteners to subdivide papers internally, and the dove-gray tape along the spine is a cosmetic variation that does not affect compatibility with existing letter-size files.
