Legal-size manila folders

These legal-size manila folders come in a box of 100 and are built from 11-point stock for everyday filing. The 1/3-cut tabs sit in the third position and measure 1/2 inch high for clear labelling. Rounded corners on both front and back reduce wear during frequent handling. Scoring allows 3/4-inch expansion so files stay neat as they grow.

Who should buy and who should not

Offices, legal practices and archives that use top-tab legal folders will find this box convenient for high-volume organisation. Buyers who need letter-size folders, coloured tabs for colour-coding or reinforced tabs for heavy daily use should look elsewhere.

Key specification: 1/3-cut third-position tabs

The 1/3-cut tabs in the third position determine whether these folders match your existing filing system. If your cabinet or index expects a different tab cut or position, these folders will not align correctly.

Questions about this item

Which tab-cut version of the Smead 15333 folders should I pick for a standard legal filing system?

The 15333 model uses a 1/3-cut tab in the third position, giving three staggered tabs per drawer for quick visual indexing.

What does the 11-point stock rating mean when the folders are actually loaded with paperwork?

The 11-point manila stock is rigid enough to hold a full 3/4-inch expansion without bowing, keeping tabs aligned and corners intact.

How does the top-tab interface work with legal-size hanging rails or drawer frames?

The one-ply top tab sits flush on legal-size rails, and the rounded front and back corners prevent snagging when folders slide.
