Legal-size pressboard classification folders

These 25-pt pressboard folders in red are built for legal-size documents and ship in a 10-pack. Each folder includes two 20-pt fiberboard dividers with 1/3-cut top tabs for subdividing paperwork. Six K-style fasteners total — two on the cover and two per divider — keep pages secured in sequential order.

Heavyweight covers and tear-resistant gusset

The 25-pt pressboard covers resist daily wear while the reinforced gusset expands up to 2 inches for bulky files. Fasteners on the cover hold up to 2 inches of material and each divider fastener holds up to 1 inch. Natural brown fiberboard dividers add structure without adding bulk.

10-pack with 2-inch expansion and two dividers

This configuration delivers exactly ten legal-size folders, each offering 2-inch maximum expansion and two built-in dividers. Buyers who need letter-size folders, a different tab cut, or single-divider layouts should select another product.

Questions about this item

How do I set up the 2" expansion gusset on these legal-size folders, and what step do people often miss?

Fasten the six K-style fasteners — two on the cover and two on each of the two fiberboard dividers — before loading papers; skipping the divider fasteners leaves the inner sections loose.

What part of the folder will wear out first and need replacing?

The 20-pt fiberboard dividers and their 1/3-cut tabs handle daily flipping and will tear before the 25-pt pressboard cover.

At what fill level does the 2" expansion limit start to strain the fasteners?

Once the gusset reaches its 2" maximum the six K-style fasteners are under full tension; adding more pages risks tearing the fastener holes.
