End-tab folders for open-shelf systems

These Smead 24109 folders use an embossed end tab so labels line up cleanly on shelving. Made from 11 point manila stock, each folder scores for 3/4" expansion and comes pre-slit for self-adhesive fasteners. The 9" high front leaves room for labels on both the top and the tab. A box contains 100 folders.

Medical, dental, financial and insurance filers

Designed for offices that run open-shelf filing and need quick visual indexing on the end tab. Not suited for drawer cabinets that require top-tab folders or for anyone needing heavier stock or a different tab cut.

1/2" wide reinforced end tab

The tab measures 1/2" across and is reinforced to resist tearing during frequent handling. This width determines label size and shelf spacing, so verify it matches your existing system before ordering.

Questions about this item

How often will the 11 point stock need replacing under daily filing use?

The 11 point stock is built for repeated handling; replacement depends on how heavily each folder is loaded and how often it is accessed.

What limit appears first when the 100 folders are kept at 3/4 inch expansion all day?

The 3/4 inch scored expansion is the physical limit; exceeding it stresses the fold and can tear the manila stock.

Do the reinforced end tabs add noticeable heat or noise when the cabinet stays closed for hours?

No, the reinforced end tabs are passive paper components that generate no heat and make no sound during storage.
