Manila letter-size file folders

Smead 24250 folders are 14 point manila stock with full-height extended tabs for letter-size documents. Each box contains 100 single-ply folders scored for three-quarter-inch expansion. Rounded top corners on the front panel reduce wear during frequent handling. The embossed tab surface provides a consistent area for adhesive labels or barcodes.

Offices using end-tab colour-coded systems

These folders suit filing rooms that rely on visible end tabs for quick retrieval and colour-coded organisation. The extended tab width accommodates extra name labels or barcode strips without overlap. Buyers who need top-tab folders for drawer cabinets or who require pre-printed tabs should look at a different style.

14 point manila stock weight

The 14 point manila construction determines durability and rigidity for high-volume filing. Heavier stock resists tearing at the scored expansion crease and holds shape when folders are packed tightly on shelves. If the workload involves minimal handling or thin records, a lighter weight folder may be sufficient.

Questions about this item

Will the 14 pt manila stock hold up in a cabinet that already has thinner folders?

The 14 point manila stock is heavier than standard folders, so it resists tearing and keeps its shape even when stored beside lighter-weight files.

How can I verify the tabs are aligned for my label printer after I load the box?

Each folder has a full-height extended tab embossed for label placement; print a test label on one sheet and check that it sits squarely on the 7/8" wide tab.

Does the box of 100 include labels or fasteners, or must I order them separately?

The box contains 100 single-ply end-tab folders only; labels and any fasteners are sold separately.
