Red fastener folders for high-volume filing

These Smead 25740 folders come in a pack of 50 and feature a two-inch expansion capacity with built-in fasteners. The straight-tab design keeps labels aligned for quick scanning in dense drawer rows. They suit offices that process thick case files or project binders on a daily basis.

Simple drop-in setup with no tools required

Installation means sliding documents under the prongs and pressing the fastener shut; the only common issue is overstuffing beyond the two-inch expansion, which can bend the prongs or prevent the folder from closing flat in the cabinet.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the Smead 25740 folders hold a full two-inch expansion after loading them?

Fill each folder to the fastener limit; the straight tab should stay aligned and the cover closes flat when the two-inch capacity is reached.

What comes in the box of 50 red Smead 25740 folders and what extra supplies are needed?

The box contains 50 red fastener folders with straight tabs; no additional folders are included, so buy extra fasteners or labels separately if required.
