Legal Classification Folder

Smead model 29785 is a pressboard folder designed for legal-size documents and high-volume filing. The green 10-count box suits offices, law firms and government departments that need durable daily classification. Each unit uses 50 percent recycled material and fastens with two 2S fasteners.

Replaces single-section folders

When paperwork grows beyond one compartment the six-section layout with two dividers keeps categories separate without extra supplies. The 2-inch expansion handles thick case files that would burst standard folders. Buyers who need only a few sheets per category will find the extra dividers unnecessary.

End-tab pressboard limit

The end-tab design fits shelf and drawer systems built for side indexing but will not work with top-tab cabinets. Pressboard resists tearing yet remains heavier than light manila stock. The 10-count pack may not suit users who need larger bulk quantities or different colour coding.

Questions about this item

Will the 14-inch legal size fit my standard legal filing cabinet?

Yes, the 14-inch length matches standard legal cabinet rails.

How do I fasten papers into the two 2S fasteners without misaligning the holes?

Punch sheets for the 2S pattern, then insert each set into its own fastener before closing the folder.

When should I replace the pressboard dividers if the 2-inch expansion is used daily?

Replace dividers when the pressboard edges fray or the fastener prongs no longer hold the 2-inch capacity securely.
