Desk-Drawer Filing System

Smead 64035 hanging folders hold letter-size sheets in 11-pt green stock with coated rod tips that glide smoothly on rails. Clear vinyl 1/3-cut tabs and blank inserts adjust to multiple positions for quick identification. The box contains 25 folders made from SFI-certified wood fibre.

Replacing Flat File Folders

Flat folders slump and slide under each other in deep drawers; these hang vertically to keep pages upright and separated. The jump is worth it when drawer depth exceeds folder height and frequent access demands one-hand retrieval without reshuffling.

Suits High-Volume Letter Filing

Offices processing daily letter-size paperwork benefit from the rigid stock and repositionable tabs. Buyers needing legal-size capacity, expansion gussets or colour-coded tab sets should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

What size hanging rails or drawer frame do the 8.50" x 11.00" folders require?

The folders are built for letter-size hanging rails spaced to accept 8.50" x 11.00" sheets, so standard letter-width drawer frames or rails will fit.

How do the coated rod tips and 1/3-cut vinyl tabs go on during setup?

Slide each folder's coated rod tips onto the drawer rails; then insert the blank paper inserts into the clear vinyl 1/3-cut tabs and snap the tabs onto the folder hooks in the desired positions.

When should the 11-pt green stock folders or the vinyl tabs be replaced?

Replace a folder if the 11-pt green stock tears, the coated rod tips no longer glide, or the vinyl tabs crack and won't hold inserts securely.
