Office filing fasteners for document organisation

Smead 68210 adhesive steel fasteners provide a simple way to secure papers inside folders, binders or brief covers. The self-adhesive backing allows quick installation on any flat filing surface. Each box contains 100 units for high-volume office or archival use. The enamel finish resists corrosion during long-term storage.

One-inch capacity with two mounting options

Each fastener holds up to one inch of material, keeping large document sets in sequential order. Install directly onto a folder’s inner panel for general filing or through prepunched slits when extra strength is needed. A positioning template is included to ensure consistent placement across multiple folders. Standard centre-to-centre spacing matches common folder formats.

Adhesive mounting frees folders from hole-punching

Permanent adhesive eliminates the need for rivets or mechanical fasteners, preserving the folder surface. The fasteners work with existing prepunched slits where available, adding reinforcement without extra tools. They suit ring binders, brief covers and bulletin boards alike. No additional hardware is required beyond the supplied template.

Questions about this item

Will the 2-3/4" center-to-center spacing match the prepunched slits in my existing folders?

Yes, these fasteners use the standard 2-3/4" C-C spacing and include a positioning template to align with common folder slits.

How can I confirm the adhesive has bonded securely after pressing the fastener onto the folder panel?

The permanent adhesive sets immediately; a firm press across the full base and a gentle tug on the prongs will confirm it is fixed in place.

Does the box of 100 include the positioning template or must I buy it separately?

The template is included in the box with the 100 fasteners; no separate purchase is needed.
