Legal expanding wallet

This Smead 71076 wallet expands to 5.25 inches and fits legal documents measuring 14 by 10 inches. Durable Redrope material with Tyvek reinforcement protects contents during transport. A cloth tie closure secures the flap over bulky files. The wallet contains 30 percent recycled content and is sold as a single unit.

High-volume legal filing

Suited for offices that move thick case files between desks, couriers or storage boxes. The wide gusset holds hundreds of sheets without tearing. Not for users who need letter-size pockets, ring-binder compatibility or hook-and-loop fasteners.

5.25 inch expansion capacity

The 5.25 inch gusset depth is the single measure that determines whether this wallet fits your thickest legal folders. Verify your maximum stack height against this figure before ordering.

Questions about this item

Does the 5.25" expansion generate heat or noise when the wallet stays full all day?

No. The Smead 71076 is a passive paper wallet with no electronic parts, so it produces no heat and makes no sound regardless of how long it remains loaded.

What existing supplies are needed for the cloth-tie closure to function?

Nothing extra. The cloth tie is stitched to the flap, so the wallet closes securely without separate fasteners, rubber bands or adhesive strips.

Will legal-size documents from older filing systems fit the 15 x 10 dimensions?

Yes. The wallet is built for 8 1/2" x 14" legal sheets, the standard size used in traditional legal filing cabinets and folders.
