Letter-size expanding pocket with non-slip grip

These Smead 73209 file pockets are built for Letter documents and expand to 5.25 inches using Redrope stock. The patented SmeadGrip surface gives twice the holding power of a standard pocket so files pull cleanly from drawers or shelves. Each box contains 10 pockets measuring 9.50 by 11.75 inches. Tyvek reinforcement at the gusset top adds tear resistance for frequent handling.

Suits high-volume shelf or drawer filing.

Offices that move large active files daily benefit from the easy-grip texture and 5.25-inch expansion capacity. The straight-cut tabs work with standard shelf and drawer systems and the Redrope finish resists wear during on-the-go transport. Users needing a slimmer profile or smaller expansion than 3.50 inches for tight cabinets should consider a different format.

5.25-inch accordion expansion capacity

The single specification that determines fit is the 5.25-inch gusset depth, which dictates how many Letter sheets the pocket can hold. Buyers should match this expansion to their maximum file thickness before ordering.

Questions about this item

Will the Tyvek reinforcement at the top of the gusset need replacing after heavy use?

The Tyvek reinforcement is built into the gusset to resist tearing during daily shelf or drawer filing and is not a replaceable part.

Does the 5.25 inch expansion capacity limit how many documents fit inside?

The pocket expands up to 5.25 inches, so the maximum thickness of paper it can hold is set by that dimension.

Does the Redrope stock material make the pocket warmer to handle after sitting on a shelf all day?

Redrope stock is a heavy paper material that stays at room temperature and does not generate heat during storage.
