Bulky record management

These Smead 73214 file pockets handle bulky records with a 1.75 inch expansion. The accordion design and straight cut tabs suit office filing systems. Each box contains 25 pockets sized for letter documents. The redrope and manila construction supports heavy daily use.

Tear resistant construction

Rollover reinforcement at the top of the 6-1/2 inch gussets makes the sides virtually tear-proof. The 12-1/2 point redrope back pairs with an 11 point manila liner for added strength. Rounded top corners reduce wear during frequent handling. Bottom and sides are fully enclosed to secure contents.

Certified forest sourcing

This product was made using wood sourced from a certified managed forest. The double thick 9 point redrope front adds rigidity to the pocket opening. Straight cut tabs allow clear labelling for quick identification. No additional accessories or software are included in the box.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Smead 73214 drop-front pockets into my filing system?

Insert each pocket into a letter-size drawer or shelf; the straight-cut tabs align with standard rails, but the common error is loading them backward so the drop front faces the rear.

What maintenance or replacement will the Smead 73214 pockets need over time?

The Tyvek-reinforced gussets resist tearing, so the box of 25 typically lasts until the manila liner shows heavy wear or the redrope edges fray from repeated access.

What limit appears first when the Smead 73214 pockets are used continuously at capacity?

The 1.75-inch expansion reaches its maximum before the double-thick front or reinforced gussets show stress, so overflow is the first constraint.
