Extra-Wide Letter File Pockets

These redrope expansion pockets measure 3.5 inches across and accept standard top-tab folders without bulging the side gussets. Each box contains 10 pockets built with fully lined Tyvek gussets and reinforced end-cut tabs. The drop-front design allows quick access to documents stored inside. They are sized for letter-format paperwork in overhead filing cabinets.

High-Volume Legal Filing

Law firms and legal departments handling depositions or discovery bundles will find the extra width and tear-resistant gussets suited to heavy daily use. Offices that only store loose sheets or thin reports in standard-width pockets do not need this capacity. Buyers who require built-in dividers or pre-printed labels should look elsewhere because labels are sold separately and no dividers are included.

3.5-Inch Expansion Capacity

The single specification that determines fit is the 3.5-inch overall expansion, which dictates how many top-tab folders the pocket can hold before the gussets reach their limit. Match this figure to the thickness of your typical case file to decide if the pocket meets your archiving needs.

Questions about this item

Will the 3.5-inch expansion fit alongside existing letter-size folders in a standard shelf file?

Yes, the extra-wide design accepts standard top-tab folders without bulging the side gussets, so they sit flush with other letter-size folders in a shelf file.

How can I confirm the Tyvek gussets are holding up after loading a full 3.5-inch expansion?

Check that the bright-coloured, fully-lined gussets show no tearing at the reinforced tops and that the drop front still opens smoothly when the pocket is fully loaded.

Does the box of 10 include labels for the straight-cut end tabs?

Labels are sold separately; the box contains only the 10 Redrope expansion pockets with two-ply end-cut tabs and reinforced Tyvek gussets.
