Expansion capacity and filing use

These Smead 73805 pockets expand 3.5 inches to hold bulky letter-size records. The 50-count box supplies offices that manage high-volume paper archives. Straight-cut tabs keep headings aligned in standard filing systems. The redrope stock resists daily handling wear.

Setup and common issues

Insert documents into the accordion gussets and file the pocket in a letter-size drawer or shelf. The 12-1/2 point redrope back with 11 point manila liner adds rigidity so the pocket stands upright when full. Rounded top corners reduce snagging on adjacent folders. Overstuffing beyond the rated expansion can stress the Tyvek-reinforced gusset tops.

Durability under sustained load

The double-thick 9 point redrope front and fully enclosed bottom and sides maintain shape when the pocket stays packed for long periods. Tyvek reinforcement at the gusset tops prevents edge tears during repeated access. Manila lining protects subject headings from rubbing off. Certified managed-forest sourcing supports archival-grade paper stability.

What comes in the box and is anything else required to use these file pockets?

The box contains 50 expansion file pockets with straight-cut tabs, 12-1/2 point redrope backs, 11 point manila liners and 6-1/2 inch high gussets; no extra items are needed for filing.

Which version should I choose if I need straight tabs and letter-size capacity?

Model 73805 provides straight-cut tabs, letter-size dimensions and 3.5 inch expansion in a 50-count box, matching those exact requirements.
