Smead 73892 File Folder 3 1/2 Inch Expansion 800 Sheets 5 Pack

Expandable File Pockets for High-Volume Filing

These Smead TUFF pockets are built for offices that move large paper volumes daily. Tyvek reinforcement resists tears during frequent handling, while the drop-front panel keeps active documents accessible. Each pack supplies five coloured pockets to support colour-coded filing systems.

Physical Limits of 3 1/2 Inch Expansion

The 3 1/2 inch gusset stretches to hold 800 sheets, but paper weight and fastener bulk reduce real-world capacity. Overstuffing stresses the Tyvek seams and makes the drop front difficult to close cleanly. Plan for slightly fewer sheets if you use heavy stock or store multiple fastened sets per pocket.

800-Sheet Capacity Decides Fit

The 800-sheet rating is the single figure that tells you whether this pocket matches your project size. If your typical file exceeds that thickness, the pocket will not close properly and documents risk damage. Buyers who need more storage per pocket should look for a larger expansion model.
