Legal-size pocket for bulky records

The Smead 74226 is a green file pocket sized for legal documents measuring 8.50" by 14". It expands 3.50" to hold thick project files and is sold as a single unit. The bright colour helps teams colour-code work and reduces misfiles in shared cabinets.

Fits standard legal drawers and shelves

The pocket slides into any legal-size filing space without special hardware. Its fold-down front panel gives quick access to contents while the fully enclosed bottom and sides keep pages secure. Manila interior liners make handwritten or printed labels easy to read.

Tyvek reinforcement handles daily handling

Rollover gussets reinforced with tear-resistant Tyvek withstand repeated stuffing and retrieval without splitting. The expansion holds at 3.50" under sustained load so bulky records stay contained. Wood fibre comes from a certified managed forest.

Questions about this item

How many bulky legal-size files can the 3.5" expansion hold before the gussets strain?

The Tyvek-reinforced rollover gussets expand to a full 3.5 inches, so the pocket accommodates thick legal-size projects without tearing at the stress points.

Does the drop-front panel stay rigid or get floppy after daily access all day?

The fully enclosed bottom and sides keep the pocket structure firm even with repeated fold-down use, while the tear-resistant Tyvek reinforcement prevents edge fatigue.

What size cabinet or drawer do I need so the 14" legal pocket fits without bending?

This pocket measures 14 inches long and 8.50 inches wide, so it requires a legal-size drawer or shelf at least that deep and wide to lie flat.
