Letter-size file jackets for high-volume filing

These Smead 75571 jackets come in a 50-count box and are built for offices that move large batches of paper daily. The letter format fits standard drawers and the yellow colour supports quick visual sorting. Closed on three sides, they keep documents from slipping out during transport.

Upgrade from single-ply folders when stacks grow

The two-inch expansion depth replaces standard flat folders that split under thick projects. Reinforced straight-cut tabs resist tearing where lighter tabs bend, and the back tab sits higher than the front for clear indexing. The jump is worth it when you regularly carry bulky files out of the office.

Holds thick project files.

The 11 point coloured stock and double-ply tab construction handle heavy daily use without tearing. Thumb-cut front panels give fast access to deep stacks. Capacity runs out when you need more than two inches of expansion or require internal dividers for sub-categories.

Questions about this item

What letter-size drawer or shelf depth does the 11 3/4" wide file jacket require to fit?

The jacket is 11 3/4" wide, matching standard letter-size filing equipment; it fits any letter-width drawer, shelf or tote without extra clearance.

How do I label the straight-cut reinforced tab so the 1/2" higher back tab stays visible in a drawer?

Write or apply a label on the front tab only; the back tab sits 1/2" higher, so it remains readable above the front panel when jackets are filed side by side.

When does the 2" expansion capacity signal it is time to replace or split the jacket?

Once the gusset is fully extended to 2", the 11-point stock is at its limit; start a new jacket from the 50-count box to avoid torn sides or lost pages.
