Organising single subjects

Smead 77271 expanding wallets hold lecture notes, workbooks and loose papers for one topic. Each wallet is made from 11 point coloured stock and uses an elastic cord to keep the protective flap closed during transport. The pack contains 50 wallets.

Expansion limit

The gussets expand up to 2 inches, setting a hard ceiling on how much paper fits inside. Once that depth is reached the elastic cord can no longer secure the flap, so the wallet stops accepting additional sheets. The design is intended for single-subject organisation rather than bulk archiving.

Capacity and headroom

A 2 inch expansion comfortably handles a semester of handouts or a project file, but runs out when the stack exceeds that thickness. Heavy-duty construction supports repeated opening and closing, yet the fixed gusset depth means overflow requires a second wallet. The 50-count box covers multiple subjects at once.

Questions about this item

How many wallets come in the 77271 box?

The box contains 50 expanding wallets, each built from 11 point colored stock with a 2 inch expansion capacity and elastic cord closure.

What does the 2 inch expansion mean for daily use?

Each wallet can hold a thick stack of legal-size documents, lecture notes or workbooks while the full-height gussets keep the contents aligned and protected.

How does the elastic cord closure work in practice?

The cord stretches over the protective flap to secure it shut, so the wallet stays closed during transport and the contents do not spill out.
