Slash Pocket Jackets for Letter Binders

These Smead 89506 jackets let you file letter-size pages in a three-ring binder without punching holes. Each clear polypropylene sleeve has diagonal slash pockets on both sides so documents slide in and out quickly. The pack contains five jackets that are acid-free and PVC-free for archival storage.

Check Binder Compatibility First

Make sure your binder uses standard three-ring spacing for letter-size sheets because the jackets are unpunched and rely on the binder's rings. The translucent gray material lets you see contents, but the jackets have no tabs, so you will need a separate indexing system if you require labelled sections.

Durable Polypropylene Construction

The polypropylene resists tearing and keeps pages flat during daily handling. Acid-free, archival-quality plastic prevents yellowing or ink transfer over time, while the slash-pocket design protects page edges from catching on ring mechanisms. Each jacket holds two sections, doubling the filing capacity per ring.

Questions about this item

What comes in the pack and do I need anything else to use these jackets?

The pack contains five clear polypropylene slash pocket jackets sized for letter paper. You will need a three-ring binder to hold them because they are unpunched and designed to sit inside binder rings.

The listing mentions gray and clear — which version am I actually getting?

The jackets themselves are clear with diagonal slash pockets on both sides; the gray colour refers to the binding edge that slides onto the binder rings.

How does the slash pocket design work once the jackets are inside a binder?

Each jacket has diagonal slash pockets on the front and back so you can slide documents in and pull them out without punching holes, and the acid-free, PVC-free material protects papers for archival storage.
